The Sabah Chief Minister said such leaders should withdraw voluntarily and respectfully without the need for their posts to be taken away from them.
"In the party and government, we have rules and ethics. If a leader, minister or deputy minister no longer has confidence in the party leadership or the government he represents, then he should graciously withdraw.
"No need to wait for your position to be terminated. As gentlemen, we should step down," he told reporters when attending a breaking-of-fast function of Umno Zone 6 covering the Silam, Semporna, Tawau and Kalabakan parliamentary constituencies at the Al-Kauthar Mosque, here, tonight.
Musa's comments came following a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Department today that Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah had consented to the revocation of the appointment of Datuk Lajim Ukin as housing and local government deputy minister with immediate effect.
